A rainy day with Sonia and Jamal!

It was a rather odd day in Edmonton on June 18. It was raining. A lot. Constantly. It's pretty rare for it to rain more than 20 minutes straight here, so a REALLY rainy day is a big surprise. But Sonia, being the sweetheart that she is, never looked bothered or upset about it, despite planning an outdoor ceremony. We are very lucky to shoot for brides like Sonia!

As per usual, the rain did stop in the afternoon, but the ceremony was in the morning. The show must go on!

And a super cute flower girl. She was shy for some cameras, but not mine thankfully! I think she seemed inquisitive of my presence more than anything. haha

The outdoor ceremony went as planned. Thankfully, they had a rain shelter set up. I got soaked though. hahaha.

The ceremony was then followed by drumming and dancing!

Sonia and Jamal must have been psychic, because they had booked and planned for multiple indoor locations long before there was any hint of rain in the forecast. Brilliant!

The Art Gallery is known for it's non-standard lines.

The guys were hilarious. They couldn't go very long without laughing and having a good time.

The rain stopped by this point!

Then we headed to Commerce Place

Jamal is an Engineer with ETS, working with the LRT system. So it was fitting that we hit an LRT station! Here the guys enjoy a quick snooze... hahaha. It was only a matter of seconds before they were all holding hands. LOL!

The it was off to the High Level Bridge!

The reception was held at the Expo Centre. Sonia and Jamal had it decorated very nicey. It was beautiful!

And their grand entrance was to more singing, dancing, and drumming! It was really a party!

And it was all capped off with a great party!

It was a brilliant wedding! Sonia and Jamal, you two are such amazingly kind hearted people. You made us feel very welcomed and well taken care of. People like you guys are truly special in this world. Thank you so much for the experience; it was a day full of beautiful details and beautiful people. A big Congratulations!
