I am Simon. I am 6. Months.
It is time again for the Monthly World Report according to Simon.
Yes, it is a little late. That's because my secretary (my dad) has been ill for the past week and a half and couldn't get his lazy butt out of bed for over a week! In fact, he didn't even take a 6 month portrait of me!!! So just generic snapshots this month. I'd fire him if he didn't live under my roof. Oh well, it's so hard to find good help these days. hahaha
I've been learning the alphabet from this awesome book my crazy auntie Ersi bought for me.
My parents fight over this page a lot. Dad wants a cat. Mom wants a dog. I think they want me to decide. Dad says this photo looks like I prefer cats, but I'm not sure yet. Let me know what you think.
The teething pain is still there. And I'm still chewing on everything, especially my favourite... FABRIC. I love chewing on fabric, and I love rubbing my face in fabric.
Here I am trying to figure out how to get this block on the top of the tower. The only problem is... my arms aren't long enough. So instead I'll just sit here and drool.
It was a special month! My auntie Katherine and Uncle Abe and my cousin Greg came to visit from Burnaby! Greg is about 4 months older than me. Dad says he thinks we're going to cause a lot of trouble together. Don't worry dad, I won't ride doubles on a bike with Greg and let him steer while I pedal which causes us to get into an accident with a car and get my foot run over like you did with uncle Paul about 23 years ago.
My auntie Kesserin (that's what dad calls her) loves me too!
And uncle Abe was reading a Korean number book to me.
At first I took a look.
Then I was like, what is this?
So I tossed it away.
But then I had second thoughts and thought it might taste good.
Here I am charming the ladies as usual.
I got a new TOY!!! My first ball!
Mom used me to wake dad up one morning. Notice the "hands on throat" technique. Nothing wakes a person up like blocking their air passageway.
Wow look at me! I'm almost as tall as the tower!
I'm quite strong now and can easily sit in my booster seat. I love this chair because that means I'm gonna EAT! Here the food isn't coming fast enough so I'm eating my bib. Did I mention I love eating fabric?
Here I'm trying to eat some apple. I'd probably be happier if the apple wasn't trapped behind this mesh. What a cruel trick.
This is Claire. Claire is dad's friend's daughter, who was born about a month and a half after me. As soon as dad heard Claire was born he decided that she is going to be my wife. So I met my wife for the first time this month! It went great! I made Claire laugh and laugh and laugh like she's never laughed before. I heard making a woman laugh is a great way to her heart, so I guess I'm on the right track. Here we are sporting our shades. I think we look good together.
Uncle Fred came up to visit! That is a RARE occurrence! Apparently I was the reason he came up! I feel so special.
We celebrated my cousin Lizabee's birthday, and my half year birthday together!
I've started eating a LOT of solid food. I love rice cereal and applesauce! It's so yummy! Dad says I'll be eating Kimchee and extra hot curries in no time! Mom doesn't think so.
And now I've totally gotten into baths! I love them now, and no longer scream like I'm dying when put in water. Of course, my buddy the little rubber duckie helps. He is my lifeguard and makes sure I'm ok.
So there's the update on the World Report: the most important news to hit the stands!
Please say hello and I'll talk to you again in a month!
