How to Soothe a Fussy Baby... or Make it Worse: The Snuggle Puppy Effect
Simon is a jolly funny little guy, he also suffers from gastrointestinal reflux - pretty common stuff, but it means our lives are a bit more interesting. He has to be elevated at all times, pukes a lot - sometimes with a 5 foot spread, and takes medicine daily. The medicine has made a HUGE difference, but the dose is quickly outgrown and needs to be adjusted often. This means that he has pain, on top of all the throw-up and makes him a bit touchy. He is full of smiles, but he has very clear opinions on what he DOES and does NOT like.
For example: He has a favourite book, it's called Snuggle Puppy. He picked it when he was about 8 weeks old and heaven help you if you try to read him another book for naptime. He will scream until you read the right book. Then he snuggles up and closes his eyes. I call this the snuggle puppy effect.
What I find surprising is it also has the same effect on Lloyd. If he is anywhere nearby when Simon gets his snuggle puppy time... well... see for yourself.
ha ha ha. I couldn't resist.
