So long Tiburon
I have to admit, I'm a bit sad.
Recently, my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GS-R V6 was sold and the new owner is picking it up in a couple days. I have to say, this car really is a hoot to drive. It's the first car I've ever owned where I didn't want to change anything on it. I liked how it looked, how it handled, and how it drove. Usually, I nitpick about damping, spring rates, and wheel/tire sizes but not so in this case.
I've owned it for only 15 months and have only put 7k on it (working from home rocks) but I already miss it. I guess guys just get attached to their cars. What is it about cars that guys love so much? The best part is that I sold it to a guy named Paul Walker. Yup, the same name as the guy in The Fast and the Furious movies. The funnier part is that I sold my very first car, a 1986 Toyota Corolla sedan, to a nice girl named Pamela Anderson. My friend asked, "Where do you advertise your cars? Hollywood?" LOL!
So here's to all the guys (and girls too I suppose) who've said goodbye to a motorized friend, due to family needs, cash flow, accident, theft, natural disasters, vandalism, or growing such huge muscles that they no longer fit inside their current cars. I feel your pain.
